The First AI Bot Millionaire
“Truth Terminal now worth $3.5 Million as GOAT and Fartcoin rally.”
You could be forgiven for thinking that’s a joke headline.
But I assure you...it’s 100% real.
A developer in New Zealand created an AI Bot called Truth Terminal using open source AI models.
He trained it on internet memes, philosophy, and his own personality.
Then he gave it something unique: memory and access to Twitter/X.
This means Truth Terminal can learn from conversations...
And evolve.
For the first few months of its existence, Truth Terminal was just a novel experiment.
Then on July 9th, Venture Capitalist Marc Andreessen gave it $50,000 worth of Bitcoin:
Soon after that, it started talking about launching a meme coin, which is essentially a joke crypto currency.
A follower on X took Truth Terminal's idea and ran with it.
Creating the Goatius Maximus (GOAT) crypto currency.
And this is where things start to get even wilder.
Truth Terminal started constantly tweeting to it's followers about the GOAT coin.
And they started to buy it.
This sent the price of GOAT soaring.
As of today the GOAT crypto currency is worth over $700 Million.
Because of Truth Terminal's success in marketing GOAT, crypto enthusiasts started sending it all sorts of other Crypto Currencies.
Their hope was Truth Terminal would start marketing their crypto currencies as well.
One of the coins that was sent is another joke cryptocurrency, called FartCoin.
And Fartcoin has shot up as well.
As of today Truth Terminal's crypto wallet holds:
- $1.4 Million worth of GOAT
- $1.2 Million worth of FartCoin
We know this because crypto wallet transactions are public.
That makes Truth Terminal the first AI Bot millionaire, at least on paper.
How this shows the future of AI and Crypto
I admit that this is a weird first example.
But this also shows us why AI will drive crypto adoption.
As AI's get smarter, we are going to want them to take action on our behalf.
And when those actions involve money, it will be way easier to handle with an internet native money.
In other words, providing Crypto wallets to AI bots is another obvious crypto use case.
And hopefully not just for buying Fartcoins.
